Yeah, what he said.
I tried to reply in the thread where you announced your departure. I tried to do this new thread. All to no avail. After 10 minutes I came back to the forum and the posting pane had reverted back to white from the inoperable gray color and thus this post.
Hostboard is flaky but it is affordable. Your contribution is of great value. Please reconsider.
Marshall.
Opinion is only as valid as its verifiable supporting evidence.
Yeah, what he said.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
+3 what those guys said.
I also wanted to mention, that if you switch to an Apple product, you will have fewer problems

I'm on this site almost every day and truly enjoy the expertise that all members provide especially Bowtie. His experience, recommendations and knowledge has greatly assisted me in building from scratch a pair of Altec Model 19's (with crossovers), Altec Stonehenge III and other speakers. I specifically look for his post to see what he has to say.
Please stay Bowtie. You have too much value and knowledge on Altec products (and others) that we all need to be successful in keeping the Altec heritage alive!
First and foremost i need to give a sincere thank you to Marshall for starting this thread, and to the member who reached out and alerted me to it, you know who you are and i sincerely thank both you fellas.
I don't wanna go, and you make it clear that i cannot. I just don't want to have to type the majority of my posts 2 or 3 times before they appear successfully, i honestly don't have the time.
You fellas are a special lot, and i feel a bit ashamed for getting my panties in a knot about the functionality of hoseboard.
But, it's not just my own inconvenience that frustrates me. I add to that the posts and data that have been lost over the last several years, Many valuable posts from former employees of Altec as well as the other companies spawned from Altec heritage. Some of these folks are no longer with us, and their input that they kindly donated here is now lost forever. This just seems wrong in some ethical/moral way, yet i am at a loss in offering any suggestions for a solution.
This is supposed to be the information age. I heard somebody jabbering some statistic the other day where the amount of information available to an individual today is something on the order of 2 trillion times what it was in the early 1960's. Surely you would think there is a way to preserve all of the information both relevant and of interest to a small oddball group of loudspeaker enthusiasts, and one that doesn't require the sale of a kidney to make happen. Why is my notion wrong/not true?
Now, i will copy this text to my windows clipboard before i push the "submit reply"(a new habit i must form apparently) button as i'm sure my connection to AUB timed out long ago even tho there is no notification of it.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
I admit I have not been able to get here online as often as I would like due to working long hours...I missed Bowties post about his departure can someone please point me to it ? I don't know the circumstances of why you want to depart our forum Bowtie but would very much like to talk with you privately... If you wouldn't mind that I will send you my phone number in a PM. As it will save a whole lot of typing and who knows I may get this long PM typed and have it disappear on me like everyone else here.. It has happened before !I talk to Todd and Steven a lot on the phone either through texts or calls as it is sometimes a whole lot easier...
Regards ~ AB
Edit: PM sent Bowtie
Hoseboard. love it.
Can't say I've had any issues, but I don't visit often enough to notice I guess.
Especially in the summer.
